The wines of Mas des Bressades are divided into two ranges - the Cuvées Excellence and the Cuvées Tradition.
Cuvées Tradition
Mas des Bressades is known for its traditional Costières de Nîmes wines available in Red, Rosé and White. These very accessible wines combine freshness and fruit, roundness and concentration.
Cuvée Traditionnelle Rosé (Costières de Nîmes)
The Grenache (50%) and Syrah (50%) grapes balance each other nicely to create a rounded, supple, fruity wine that also boasts the characteristic structure that is the hallmark of the red wines of Mas des Bressades. It is pleasant to drink now or can be kept for up to 5 years. |
Mas des Bressades Rouge 2004
Grape varieties: Syrah 45% Grenache 50% Cinsault 5%
Production: 50,000 bottles
Winemaking: Grapes picked by hand, de-stemming, fermentation in stainless-steel vats, temperature control and maturing in concrete vats.
Tasting notes: a profound, intense red colour. Bouquet of ripe fruit marked by scents of havana tobacco and a range of spices, opening out nicely as it matures. A lovely attack and nice clean impression on the palate for this concentrated, yet tasty wine with lovely long-lasting aromas. This is a wine with a great future.
Ideal served with all sorts of dishes, even spicy meat dishes.

Cuvée Traditionnelle Rosé (Costières de Nîmes)
The Cinsault grapes contribute their fresh, fruity qualities, while the Syrah give the wine its brilliant hue. These bled rosés are made in vats at low temperatures. To be drunk within the year. |
Cuvée Traditionnelle White (Costières de Nîmes)
Made essentially with Grenache Blanc (60%), the traditional Rhone Valley grape variety, and Roussanne (40%). After maceration on the skins and pneumatic pressing, the wine is vinified in vats. It develops the fine bouquet and lovely fresh quality that have made it an immediate success. To be drunk within two years. |
Mas des Bressades Rosé 2004
Grape varieties: Cinsault 20% - Grenache 50% - Syrah 30%
Production: 30,000 bottles
Winemaking: the juice is bled off and fermented in vats at 18°C. No malolactic fermentation.
Tasting notes: With slightly deeper rose-petal tints in 2004, this rosé is like a fruit cordial with its red fruit, strawberry and blackcurrant flavours. Very fleshy in the mouth with good acidity.
Ideal alone as an aperitif or in summer with grilled meat or fish.

Grape varieties: Roussanne 40% Grenache 60%
Production: 15,000 bottles
Winemaking: in stainless-steel vats at 18°C. No malolactic fermentation.
Tasting notes: a very brilliant golden colour and an intense bouquet of exotic and crystallised fruit. Great complexity on the palate backed up by just the right acidity.
Makes a very pleasant aperitif and is ideal served with fish or seafood.

These are the wines that have built the reputation of Mas des Bressades around the world. Made with the finest grape varieties from the best plots, they are made and matured in oak barrels with all our skill and know-how.
Vin de Pays Cabernet Syrah
Made with an original blend, this bi-varietal wine has all the roundness and finesse of the Syrah variety and the structure of the Cabernet grapes. A powerful, racy wine. It is best to wait at least 2 to 5 years, and this is one that can be kept for 10 to 15 years if you want. |
Cabernet-Syrah Red 2003
Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Syrah 30%
Production: grapes picked by machine and destemmed before long fermentation in stainless-steel vats with temperature control and malolactic fermentation in concrete vats.
Maturing: 12 months in new oak barrels.
Tasting notes: powerful and complex. The bouquet has not yet opened out fully, so this wine should be put in a carafe or kept for a few more months to reveal all its qualities.
For those who like their wines concentrated, this is one to serve with spicy or strong-tasting dishes.

Cuvée Excellence Red (Costières de Nîmes)
This wine boasts a very pronounced Syrah bouquet expressing all the character of the terroir of Mas des Bressades through its hints of spices and liquorice. A fine, elegant wine. Pleasant to drink right now or can be kept for 5 to 10 years. |
Mas des Bressades Red 2003
Grape varieties: Syrah 100%
Production: 18,000 bottles
Winemaking: the grapes are picked by hand and destemmed before long fermentation (3 to 5 weeks) in stainless-steel vats with temperature control and malolactic fermentation in concrete vats.
Maturing: 12 months in oak barrels
Tasting notes: A most powerful vintage with a lovely garnet-red colour and a bouquet of spices and fruit. Very elegant on the palate with elegant tannins and great length.
Just the thing served with all special meals.

Cuvée Excellence White (Costières de Nîmes)
The very best bunches of Roussanne grapes are selected specially for this Cuvée. The must is fermented entirely in new barrels. Five months of maturing on the fine lees to develop the flesh of the wine and blend the flavours into perfect harmony. |
Mas des Bressades White 2004

Grape varieties: Roussanne 90% Grenache Blanc 10%
Production: 9,000 bottles
Winemaking: After pneumatic pressing, the must is transferred directly into new barrels for fermentation. Malolactic fermentation is blocked.
Maturing: The wine stays in its barrels for maturing on the fine lees with regular stirring for 5 months.
Tasting notes: Lots of golden tints and a bouquet of vanilla and almond blossom scents. Slight acidity nicely backed up by very pronounced fruity flavours on the palate. Fleshy, rounded and very concentrated with incredible aromatic length.
Ideal with fish served in a sauce, with white meat and with blue cheeses.
